Established in 1932 Pipers Florist is a beautiful family run business in the heart of Oxted.
When I met the mother and daughter team to introduce them to my range - they informed me that they have been looking for a candle brand to partner with and - as yet - nothing had quite ticked all the boxes and (in their words) they are very particular about who they work with.
The art of floristry is a talent and the bouquets, wreaths or wedding arrangements made by the Piper hands are exquisite. I am so honoured that they have embraced my brand and the ethos behind it. I am very excited for the residents of Oxted to enjoy my candles as much as I enjoy making them.
I’m so pleased to announce that my little brand is now stocked at Options Beauty Salon in Edenbridge Town.
The lovely ladies at the Options were very enthusiastic about stocking my brand in their salon and they have taken a prominent place on there front counter - they look right at home!
Options offer a wide range of beauty treatments, hair and nail styling. They also have all the best quality salon quality products for you to take home and keep up the amazing work they have done. They pamper, they enhance your beauty and more importantly they make you feel relaxed. I will definitely be spending more time there,
Thank you Sophie and Gina for welcoming JTK to your salon, I’m excited for Edenbridge to be able to enjoy relaxing with my candles after they have been pampered by your team.
Today JTK was at the Edenbridge Makers Market. This event was to showcase all the talented artisans located in my little town and we all came out in force!
From handrawn art, baking, sewing and knitting - there was something for everyone. Our local MP Tom Tungenhat was also in attendance to meet those taking part and he even bought my very popular Black Pomegranate candle for his lovely wife and took to instagram stories to promote my page which was a lovely surprise.
I met some lovely ladies there whilst networking and we will all be meeting up and arranging an event in the future. Very exciting!
My family and I travelled to beautiful Italy for my best friends wedding. I had the privilege of being her Maid of Honour and happy tears were shed.
I made over 70 candle wedding favours for her guests and she chose all the scents she wanted to represent the theme of her wedding, in her favourite colour purple- and I was honoured not only to be by her side but to be able to give all her guests from all over the globe - a memorable gift from her day.
Now there are mini JTK candles in Australia, Salt Lake City USA, Canada, California, Ireland and a couple in Italy that we gave to the wedding planner.
We had the most amazing memorable time and she looked beautiful
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Brogan..
SoLo Craft Fair is a South London based organisation run by Catherine and Rebecca, originally artisan stall holders themselves. They pride themselves in running a craft market that takes time to promote their individual stall holders, musicians and workshop leaders, giving them a good platform to grow their business.
- SoLo Craft Fair
I came across the instagram of this artisan store by complete accident, when I read what they did and how you get your brand into their store I was intrigued and a little scared.
I read there website and looked at the other artisans involved in the store and I thought to myself what’s the worst that can happen…my application is unsuccessfuL? So I polished up my social media presence and filled in my application.
Then the email came, “subject : successful application”. I think my heart may have stopped briefly.
My little brand was going to be stocked in LONDON. It was frightening and exciting, my mother in law lives in Central London so I asked her to go with me to drop off my stock (and hold my hand). They were really friendly and welcoming, I couldn’t wait to see the first post or story on their insta about MY business.
I didn’t have to wait long and I was so proud.
SoLo gave me the tools and confidence I needed to take my small social media and local fairs hobby to the main stage and be a real Business.
I will forever be thankful.
It was a beautiful day in Edenbridge for the Edenbridge Open day. Artisans, musicians, high street businesses and small businesses were scattered around town to showcase what they do. I was based at the Old Eden Pub and they very kindly fed and watered me all day. I met another small businesswoman and we sat and “networked” (drank shandy’s) all day in the sunshine. It was a great day and lots of candles went to their new homes.
